Personal data are individual data on personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as the IP address, your correct name, address, telephone number and date of birth. Information that cannot be matched directly to your real identity such as favoured websites or the number of users of a website is not personal data.
Processing and use of personal data limited to a specific purpose
When you visit the website of Arbeitskreis Omega-3 e.V., we will temporarily store data of various kinds. The legal basis for processing personal data for the purpose specified above is Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. b) GDPR provided we maintain a contractual relationship with you (e.g. a membership in Arbeitskreis Omega-3 e.V.). If there is no contractual relationship between Arbeitskreis Omega-3 e.V. and you, the legal basis for data processing is Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) GDPR. Data security
The members of our board and the providers we have hired are committed to confidentiality and compliance with the provisions of the applicable data protection laws. Arbeitskreis Omega-3 e.V. takes adequate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against loss, modification, destruction, access by unauthorised persons or unlawful transfer. Our security measures are being improved on an ongoing basis in accordance with technological development.
Duration of data storage
As a matter of principle, we will store your data as long as required for providing our online offering and associated services or as long as we have a legitimate interest in further storage (for example, if you are a member of Arbeitskreis Omega-3 e.V.). The data will be erased after expiry of the statutory or contractual retention times (e.g. retention times under tax or commercial law or the statutes on associations). Data not subject to obligatory retention will be erased once their purpose has lapsed.
